The Mountain & Cowell name has been part of the Fylde Coast’s flooring and furnishing history since the 1950s. Local history traces the business back to Blackpool, before it became established in the heart of Lytham at 14 Market Square.
Mountain and Cowell Limited was incorporated in July 1956, marking the start of a name that would become well known across Lytham, St Annes and the wider Fylde Coast.
As homes and flooring styles changed, Mountain & Cowell developed from traditional carpets into a wider flooring specialist, offering carpets, vinyl, wood flooring, luxury vinyl tiles and bespoke stair runners.
Now based in Wrea Green, Mountain & Cowell continues to serve Lytham, St Annes and surrounding Lancashire areas with premium flooring, honest advice and careful fitting — keeping the heritage of the name alive while adapting to the way customers shop today.
